Owner's declaration Abstract The master's thesis deals with the topic of owner's declaration defined in section 1166 of the Czech Civil Code. It is divided into three main chapters. In the beginning of the thesis I firstly analyze the concept of an unit and describe it from the perspective of the previous and current legislation, where I mainly focus on the differences between the two regulations and the impact that the change of legislation have had on the owner's declaration. Further I also explain how the unit can be created. In the next chapter I am dealing with the owner's declaration itself, focusing mainly on the description of its contents, which I further divide into mandatory and optional requirements. I also approach other important aspects of the owner's declaration such as defects and change of the declaration. The last chapter focuses on the practical side of owner's declaration, where I mention the most important case law regarding owner's declaration and discuss in more detail the requirements of owner's declaration with a focus on its use in practice. Finally, I describe the whole process of issuing owner's declaration.
